Mission

Mission

The mission of the West Allegheny School District counseling program is to equitably support all students’ career, personal/social, and academic development. By partnering with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community agencies, we strive to foster each student’s ability to acquire and develop the necessary skills to transition to post-secondary goals and become productive members of a rapidly changing society.

Counselors will be in on specific days throughout summer to address scheduling issues and to enroll new students, but they will not be in the building every day.  If you would like to schedule an appointment during summer hours, please email your child’s school counselor.

Students enrolling at West Allegheny High School should submit all completed enrollment forms and documentation to the High School Guidance Office.  Once all necessary documentation is received, your student will be enrolled and scheduled a time to meet with a school counselor on one of the following days to select courses for the 2019-20 school year.

        Tuesday, June 18

        Thursday, July 25
