Senior Jacob Jones Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist

Senior Jacob Jones was named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist in September. As one of only 16,000 high school seniors from across the nation, Jacob has the opportunity to compete for 7,600 National Merit Scholarships to be offered next spring. Jacob is also in the running to become a National Merit Scholarship Finalist.

WA Earns Outstanding Visual Arts Community 2019

West Allegheny has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to visual arts education and has received the endorsement "Outstanding Visual Arts Community 2019" by the Pennsylvania Art Educators Association.  Congratulations to art teachers Claire March, Brittney Counihan, Sharon Harn, Leah Shuck and Mike Short.
