West Allegheny High School

West Allegheny High School Preschool Registration is now open for the 2020-2021 school year with pre-registration required by Wednesday, December 18, 2019. To provide an equitable means of admittance, registration will be conducted via a lottery, which will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11am in the high school cafeteria.

Pre-registration:

Parents must submit their child's information (see below) either by mail, email, phone, or in person by the deadline date of Wednesday, December 18, 2019. NO information will be taken after this date.

Information needed: Child's Name, Address, Birthdate, Parent/Guardian Name(s), Contact Information and class preference ( 3 year-old AM OR PM OR 4 year-old AM OR PM.)

Your child's information may also be dropped off in person at the high school office during school hours:  Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 3:00 following the district calendar.

Lottery:

All names of pre-registered children will be entered into a random lottery, which will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the high school cafeteria starting at 11am. Parents do not need to be present but are welcome to attend. Parents not in attendance will be notified of their acceptance within the week.

Acceptance/Formal Registration:

For those children who have a confirmed spot, formal registration will be conducted immediately following the lottery for those present. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunization record, and a utility bill to confirm residency; note that a $25. non-refundable deposit will be required at this time and will be applied toward tuition in the fall. Tuition for the 2020 - 2021 school year is $75. for the 3 year-old program and $125. for the 4 year-old program. A payment schedule can be arranged if necessary.

Children must meet the following requirements to be eligible for acceptance:

Live in the West Allegheny School District

Turn 3 or 4 by September 1, 2020

Be potty trained

General Information:

Preschool is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays following the West Allegheny School District calendar.

AM class meets from 8:30am ~ 10:30 am PM class meets from 11:30am ~ 1:30 pm

Tentative start dates:

4 year-olds: October 5th  3 year-olds: November 2nd  

*Please note that current preschool students will have first preference when registering.
