For those experiencing a child in kindergarten for the first time, get ready! You will be amazed at the amount of learning your child will experience. For those more experienced parents, we are anxious to demonstrate the difference a full-day program will make in preparing your child for first grade and for many grades to follow.
To make the kindergarten transition seamless for you and your child, we would like to provide as much helpful information as possible, starting with what to expect over the next few months:

If you have not yet registered your child for kindergarten, but would like to do so, please contact your respective school:

February: Registered parents will be mailed a packet outlining the upcoming orientation as well as immunization requirements and necessary forms.
March: Parent orientation will be held at all three elementary schools on April 10, starting at 6:00 p.m. Please note that this is a lengthy information session designed to answer all of your questions, and only parents are encouraged to attend. A student orientation will be held in August.
There will also be a mandatory Kindergarten Screening at:
Donaldson Elementary - May 1st
McKee Elementary - May 2nd
Wilson Elementary - May 3rd
Sign-ups for the screening will occur during the spring orientation and are first-come, first-serve. If you are unable to make orientation, please call your school to schedule your screening time.
July/August: Parents will receive the student/teacher assignments.
August 13: In-coming kindergartners will be welcomed at a student orientation at his/her respective elementary school.
