These two forms below can be used to access resources that you may need to help assist with remote learning. 

The Device Request Form can be used to request a district-provided Chromebook. Please note that our Remote Learning materials can be accessed from any internet connected device that you may already have at home. If you do not have access to an internet connected device at home, please complete the Device Request Form, which includes confirmation that you agree to our Technology Device Agreement.

The Parent attendance form should be completed each day by 6pm to confirm student participation in our Remote Learning Program. Please note that you should complete one form for each student in your household.

Skyward for Parents and Students

Skyward is our Student Information System. In Skyward, you can access information about grades and assignments, as well as receive communication from teachers. There are two areas in Skyward where you will receive communication from teachers: the Message Center and the Learning Center. The following document provides information about how to login to Skyward, as well as those two areas.

Google Classroom

Google classroom is an online tool that is part of the Google Suite for Education. It is a resource that some teachers will to facilitate remote learning and promote collaboration in their classes. An introduction to Google Classroom is provided below.

Comcast Essentials

Comcast Essentials provides internet access to families who qualify. At present, new customers will receive two free months of service, and then the price for internet access will be $9.95 per month. Additional information can be found on their information guide, located below.

Student Login Information

Students have unique usernames and passwords for our key software applications. These include Office 365 (student email), Chromebook/Google logins, and Skyward.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT USERNAMES - EFFECTIVE 03/27/2020 at 12:00 PM

To simplify the login process for Office 365, student email addresses and usernames have been changed to <username>@westasd.org.

The address @stu.westasd.org will no longer be used.

This new username will match what students are already using to login to their Skyward and Google accounts.

All usernames follow the format of first initial, last name, last two digits of graduation year. For example, a student login for a current senior would look like the following: flast20.

Passwords

• Students in Grades 9-12 have unique, user-defined passwords. 

• Students in grades 1-8 use their 10-digit ID as their password. Your teacher or building secretary will be able to assist you if you need to know your studnet’s ID.

• Families of Kindergarten students will receive a separate communication with login information for their children.
