Individual Interventions

 Behavioral, Crisis, Emotional and/or Social Interventions based on any student(s) need(s)

Classroom Presentations and Activities **NEW THIS YEAR**

 Classroom Presentations will occur age-appropriately at least 3 times during the school year. During the 2016-2017 school year, focus will be on the following skills:

  • Belonging to the School Community (K-5)
  • Perspective-taking, Diversity, Empathy, Teamwork, Cooperation, Teamwork, Social Responsibility (K-3)
  • Peer Pressure (5)
  • Study Skills , Time Management, Organization (4-5)
  • Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, Responsibility (K-5)
  • Identifying academic, career and social/emotional goals; having a positive attitude toward work and learning (K-2)
  • Importance of life-long learning, growth mindset, linking school habits to the world of work (3-5)
  • Moving On (transition to the Middle School) (5)
  • Any presentations on topics as requested by teacher or needed throughout the year  


Consultation and Program Coordination

Consultation with staff, parents and community agencies; coordination of Rachel's Challenge/Olweus Character Education and Bully Prevention Program, Kids of Steel Coordinator

System Support

Member of Elementary Intervention Program team, Multidisciplinary IEP teams, Family Support Committee, Case Manager of 504 plans

Transition Services

Preschool and New Student Tours, Spring and Summer Kindergarten Orientation, Moving On 5th grade classroom curriculum, Move Up Day (5th grade), Move Up check in with 6th grade (September)
