Advisors: Mrs. Taylor and Miss Schwartzmiller

        The Wilson Elementary School Chapter of the NEHS was chartered in the Fall of 2008. The goal of the chapter is to foster an enthusiasm for learning, to reward and encourage academic achievement, to develop leadership skills, and to promote service by members and the growth of personal character.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership in this chapter is based on the criteria of scholarship and responsibility. To be eligible, a student must:

•           Be in the 5^th grade
•           Be enrolled in Wilson Elementary School for at least 1 semester
•           Have a minimum of a 3.5 quality point average on a 4.0 scale
•           Demonstrate personal responsibility
•           Attend an informational meeting
•           Complete a supplemental form signed by parent or guardian

Students will be notified of their selection into NEHS by the end of October.

ACTIVITIES

       The chapter participates in up to 4 service activities per school year. These activities include Christmas at the Log House and spring planting.
